Mute/Unmute Button

Post by Saitoshi on Sun May 18, 2014 10:06 am

Suggesting that the game allows for players to mute music for themselves
It'd be nice if there was a way to mute the games music from the games menu, rather than having to mute either BYOND in general through preference settings on pager, or the other alternative of muting my computer altogether via the mute button.

Why do you desire such a button, Sai?
I like listening to PZ music just as much as the next guy and all, however sometimes I like to play my games with music blasting in the background from YouTube without having PZ background music clashing with music from other sources.

Disabling the preferences on BYOND pretty much sorts out this dilemma, but if I'm playing on multiple games and want to hear sound-effects (not to be confused with ongoing background music) from another game whilst listening to music, I'm screwed.

Example of how it could look:-
(Though this last part could be scrapped if there was an options button in the hud that was specifically for tweaking background stuff like sound e.t.c.)

Why not just turn the volume slider all the way down, what I see it is currently at half volume for you, the slider is the one over the lady bug next to your MP

Welp' Ken. You sure do know how to make a guy feel stupid and suicidal... ignore this threads suggestion

(Though I still think a small symbol or something next to the slider would be nice, just to indicate it's for sound, even if its something minimal like a "+" and a "-" )
