Body Slam's secondary effect to cause paralysis affects ghost Pokemon who haven't been illuminated in any way to even allow normal type moves to affect them.

So you could end up seeing something similar to this in a battle:-

Snorlax has used Body Slam on Froslass
It doesn't affect Froslass
Froslass has been paralysed
Saitoshi
Saitoshi
