The weather in game
Hey guys, currently we're working on the weather effects that will happen throughout the game... And I thought I'd ask the players what they expect, how they think they should work etc.
I'm looking specifically for extra ideas on what to add onto the already original 4 weather effects... If you have any ideas shoot, and we'll see if it's a good enough idea.

Weather Change ideas
when fight starts it would randomly have some weather effect, area where user is would also effect chance of certain weather effect
for example in grassy area there wouldnt be hail nor sandstorm
Examples:
Grassy Areas:
Normal: 30%
Sunny: 20%
Rainy: 20%
Hailing: 0%
Snowy: 0%
Sandstorm: 0%
Lightning: 10%
Windy: 15%
Stormy: 5%
Snowy Areas:
Normal: 10%
Sunny: 10%
Rainy: 10%
Hailing: 20%
Snowy: 20%
Sandstorm: 0%
Lightning: 5%
Windy: 24%
Stormy: 1%
Sandy Areas:
Normal: 20%
Sunny: 10%
Rainy: 10%
Hailing: 0%
Snowy: 0%
Sandstorm: 30%
Lightning: 0%
Windy: 30%
Stormy: 0%
all areas would have their own percents
Weather Effects:
Normal: this is like normally is no weather advantages nor disadvantages
Sunny: same as effects in Sunny Day (http://pokemondb.net/move/sunny-day)
Rainy: same as effects in Rain Dance (http://pokemondb.net/move/rain-dance)
Hailing: same as effects in Hail (http://pokemondb.net/move/hail)
Snowy: like rain, but reduces fire 75% instead of 50%, increases ice type attacks damage 50%
Sandstorm: like in game but lowers players movement points/makes everyones visual lower
Lightning: in end of every turn several lightnings comes out from sky to hit random tiles
Windy: high wind from random direction makes user unable move full potential into way which wind comes, and move more in direction where wind blows
Stormy: Wind, Rain, Lightning in one weather

Re: The weather in game
Meaning there would always be a weather effect in a battle? Kinda of inappropiate really, I was thinking of letting the players KNOW what they're going against (like it would show if theres a sandstorm going on, and if they wanted to go fight in the wild they would do so at their own risk), kind of a more RPG feeling.
Re: The weather in game
sounds good, but in my idea there wasnt always weather either
there was weather called "Normal" xD
